Human Concerns
Human Concerns overall committee meets 1 - 2 times a year to discuss individual activities. Get involved and come join us in our variety of activities/programs to help those in need in our community.
Activities/Programs
St Vincent De Paul (SVDP) Meal Program: Meals are provided several times a year to those in need.
Food Baskets: Program to provide food baskets to those in need at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Food Collections: St. Edward's community collects and distributes food and personal items for the SVDP Food Pantry.
Health Care Ministry: Volunteers visit and minister to parish members who are currently residing in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities.
Christmas Giving Tree: Needed items are donated during Advent to local charities for those in need.
Souper Bowl Collection: In Januray, cans of soup are collected and donated to local Pantries and Charitable Organizations.
Women of St. Edward's Altruistic Activities: Pack the Truck, Baby Showers and activities to help those in need.
West Racine Community Garden: Volunteers from St. Edward's grow and provide Free vegetables to West Racine Citizens.
Mother's Day Rose Sale: Sale of roses to benefit Pro Life Organizations.
Sentiments For Seminarians: Sale of Gift Cards to be given to local seminarians.
Priest's Lenten Project: During lent monies are collected to help with projects i.e. water, agricultural and special needs for the citizens of Central and South America.
