Christian Formation is the continuing activity that gives shape and meaning to all activities in the life of a Christian. St. Edward Faith Community provides opportunities for religious education and lifelong formation for the entire parish. Whether it is a bible study, book club, special classes or one time events there is something for everyone.
If you are a Catholic adult (18+) interested in completing one or more sacraments or are interested in joining the Catholic Church, St. Edward Parish offers classes to support you in your faith journey. For more information, please call Rita Burgess, Pastoral Associate at 262 636-8040 ext 1005 or email at email@example.com
Lifelong Learning is a regular part of adult formation offered at St. Edward Parish. It is the lifelong process of growing with God, self and others. Every experience in our lives can provide us with the opportunity to express our Catholic faith. Our sessions meet after the 9:30am Sunday Mass in Schaefer Hall. Check the bulletin for upcoming sessions. Please join us!
Second Monday Bookclub
This is not your ordinary book club where you read a book a month. We only read a chapter or two per month, then discuss it. We pick a book that appeals to most of us. The books are spiritual and Catholic in nature. We try to be sensitive to the fact that each person is in different stages of our spiritual journeys. You have your choice of attending either a morning session from 10:30am – noon, or an evening session from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. We meet on the second Monday of each month in January through May, take summer months off, and we resume in September through November, taking the month of December off. We welcome anyone who might be interested in joining us. For more information, call Laurie Hoeffert at 633-5603
Little Rock Scripture Study
This is a Scripture program based on the the Little Rock Scripture Study series. We read the Scriptures and commentary on our own, along with a workbook. In our meetings we discuss the readings and workbook together. After discussion we watch a 20 minute video from various scholars that go over the lesson for that week.
This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Presently we are studying the Women of the Old Testament. We will be taking the winter months off and will resume in the spring, at which time we will begin studying the Women of the New Testament. If interested call Laurie Hoeffert 633-5603
